Will alarms work when the phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb?

This means the alarm can still sound while the phone is set to silent or vibrate.

For Do Not Disturb, behavior can depend on the phone's Android settings and permissions. In general, if the built-in Android alarm can sound through the current Do Not Disturb configuration, Shabbat Wake should behave the same way.

Before Shabbat, it is recommended to check:

• The alarm volume is high enough.
• The phone's Do Not Disturb settings allow alarms.
• Any required Shabbat Wake alarm or DND permission is enabled.
